Cuxley is operated by Ben (sole trader). Our website address is https://cuxley.com. You can contact us at hello@cuxley.com.
What data we collect and why
Email and name. When you subscribe to our mailing list or download a free resource, we collect your first name and email address. We use this to send you the resource you requested and subsequent emails in our welcome sequence. Your data is stored in Brevo (our email platform). You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.
Purchase information. When you buy a product, your purchase is processed by Payhip. We receive your email address to fulfil the order. Payhip's own privacy policy governs payment data — we do not store card details.
Analytics data. We use Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity, and the Meta Pixel to understand how visitors use our site. These tools collect anonymised usage data including pages visited, time on site, and general geographic location. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics without your consent.
Chat data. Our live chat is provided by Tawk.to. If you use the chat widget, the conversation is stored by Tawk.to. We use chat transcripts to improve our responses. Tawk.to's privacy policy governs data collected through the widget.
Cookies. We use a small number of cookies: functional cookies required for the site to work, analytics cookies (Google Analytics, Clarity, Meta Pixel), and a cookie to remember your consent choice. You can accept or decline cookies using the banner when you first visit the site. Declining analytics cookies means we cannot see how you use the site, but the site will still work fully.
Legal basis for processing
For email subscribers: consent (you opted in). For purchasers: contract performance (to fulfil your order). For analytics: legitimate interests (improving the site), subject to your cookie consent.
How long we keep your data
Email subscribers: until you unsubscribe, after which your data is deleted within 30 days. Purchase records: 7 years (UK tax law requirement). Analytics data: governed by the respective platform's retention policies.
Your rights under GDPR
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, object to processing, and request a copy of your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, write to hello@cuxley.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Third-party services
We use the following third-party services that may process your data:
- Brevo — email marketing
- Payhip — payment processing and product delivery
- Google Analytics 4 — website analytics
- Microsoft Clarity — heatmaps and session recording
- Meta Pixel — advertising measurement
- Tawk.to — live chat
- Cloudflare — hosting and security
Each of these services has its own privacy policy that governs how they handle data.
